*The following is the text of a treaty signed between the City-States of Jhelom, Skara Brae, Trinsic, and Yew, at an Eventful RP Event that took place at the Court of Truth in Yew on the 8th day of October 2023*
The City-States of Jhelom, Skara Brae, Trinsic, and Yew (“The City-States”), all prior signatories of the Treaty of Unification, which established the Kingdom of Britannia (“The Kingdom”) under the former king, Lord British, do hereby accede to the following compact between them:
1. Upon the signing of this treaty, named after the Kingdom that preceded Lord British’s Treaty of Unification, the City-States will enter into a mutual alliance and cooperation that supersedes any and all agreements with The Kingdom under the Treaty of Unification, or any treaties with any external City-States of Britannia, sovereign kingdoms, or independent entities.
2. Under this treaty, the City-States will pledge to defend and protect each other in matters of defense and security, with an attack on one being an attack on the rest.
3. Under this treaty, the City-States will grant one other a ”most favored” trade status above any external City-States of Britannia, sovereign kingdoms, or independent entities.
4. Under the treaty, each City-State maintains sovereign authority over their individual territories without any interference from the other members of this treaty. This includes enforcement of their respective laws. No City-State is prohibited from bringing its own prosecutions against an individual previously prosecuted under the jurisdiction of another member City-State, even if this
prosecution arises from the same inciting event.
5. Under this treaty, all decisions of the alliance pertaining to external relations with other sovereign territories will be addressed and voted upon by a majority of the member City-States.
6. Under this treaty, the City-States retain the right to ignore the edicts and commands of the Kingdom, including but not limited to, governor elections, matters of trade and defense, and criminal pardons.
7. The geographic area covered by this treaty will be the current boundaries of the City-States.
8. Any and all expansion of this treaty to include new member City-States requires a unanimous vote of the current membership.
9. If any City-State withdraws from the Treaty of Unification with the Kingdom, it will not nullify or affect their membership of this treaty.
Signed, on this day, by the following Governors:
Frey, Jhelom
Okami, Skara Brae
Chanticleer Reich, Trinsic
Idril Eladar, Yew
