Physical Description:
A man just above average height and weight with coppery hair, dark blue eyes with a sidelong glare that never lies about his mood. He has high cheekbones and a jaw like granite, ever darkened by a five O'clock shadow from where his lips pulled taught fight to make a smile on his grim countenance. Though every bit at the top of his weight group, he is fit and trim from a life of fighting man, monster, and death itself. He caries himself nimbly able to focus his movements into stunning grace under pressure, whether to parry fierce blows or to move a scalpel or saw with the precision to save life, if not limb.
His hands, arms, and torso are littered with small scars that stand out stark against his fair skin. Most noticeable are the raised burn scars that look like his skin simply came to a simmer and stopped across the back of his arms and shoulders. He has few tattoos except a flaming staff with a serpent coiled around, the serpent's body contains the script: "Vultu virtutis omnes sanantur" "All are healed by the sight of virtue"
General Health: Good physical health, a strong constitution, seemingly durable to permanent injury. Sometimes has shaky hands.
Profession: Mercenary and "Sawbones"
Faction Affiliation:
Languages: Brittanian
Accent: Cockney
Roleplay Tools: DnD Dice
Hobbies:Reading, Smoking, Exploratory dissection and vivisection,
Habits: Leans on objects, Various addictions
Personality Description:
A man perpetually at war with himself. Often focused, driven, and obsessed then distant, flaky, and escapist.
A cruel wit and a dark humor are easy substitutes for caring or attachment in a profession that often punishes the caring and whips the hopeful into bouts of woe and doubt. He'd no doubt die for a friend, but he'd ask you to name two before hand and coin of gold or silver oft motivates the mind when the heart dies. He'd rather glare over the top of a book or hum very loudly until his troubles went away though and when that fails, a strong drink, a stout puff on his pipe, or another's bed are often worthy distractions.
History:
Orphaned early in life after a fire raged on the East-side of Brittain, he was taken in by members of the Mercenary group called "The Succor En-carmine." Their members including then Champion Mazden Wolfebane take him, as well as other orphans into their care. The group remain in the city for some months, putting out the smoldering flames, clearing debris, tending the dead. By the age of ten, Carmine and the other wards of the Succor En-Carmine take up rolls in various jobs within the group including Misericordia; the mercy killing of those beyond medical help. He earns his place and by his 20's is made a full member by Kapitan Arthur Clark and granted the ability to bid for work. He earns his keep as both a stout wall of steel defending his comrades and as company "Sawbones." The men who go out with him always seem to come home alive, though it seems Carmine is often the last man walking on his own. He becomes a sort of good luck charm, but all luck eventually runs out. Recently whilst embarked aboard a merchant vessel in transit between Dagger's Isle and Vesper the ship is attacked by pirates. The vessel endures heavy battering from cannon shot, though they fend off the pirates nearly every member of the Succor En-Carmine lay dead or mortally wounded. The vessel limps back to shore, the crew pumping like madmen the entire time whilst Carmine tries and fails to save his friends. In the end he does his last duty, ending Mazden Wolfbane's final struggle. Upon making port Carmine wanders off the vessel without so much as his fighting gear and sinks straight into the bottomless pit of whores, alcohol, and drugs.
