On Vampyres, Nosferatu, & the Living Dead Armande Nostrick Page 33 "One need not slay a vampyre to render it helpless. It has been observed that, when fully immersed under living water, the creature devolves into a semi-sentient state, completely immoblised, unable even to communicate. It remains motionless until the water settles or evaporates. Steam or fog alone is not able to attain this state; it requires complete submersion in living water. In this way, a vampyre may be kept alive, in stasis, for perpetuity. Why anyone would wish to do this and not outright slay the vile thing is beyond me. I only mention it in this volume as I seek to attain a full, thorough, and complete rendition of the lore, true or false, of these terrible beings."
