Our guilds don't have too many rules. However, those we do have should always be followed:
1) ROLE-PLAY YOUR CHARACTER: As a role-playing guild, we're required to role-play our characters when interacting in-game. We don't regulate the types of characters our members play, but they are expected to remain in-character. In our view, staying in-character doesn't only mean speaking as your character, it's also about a distinct separation of player and character, and between the same player's different characters, particularly with respect to knowledge and feelings.
2) RESPECT YOUR FELLOW PLAYERS: As in real life, it's always best to treat others how we want to be treated. It's not always easy, especially due to the presence of anti-social personalities in Ultima Online, but no one will be expected to be kind to those who have their fun at the expense of others. Please note that this rule pertains not only to others role-players, but all different play-styles. Remember that anyone is a potential convert to role-playing, all it takes is one positive experience. This rule is not only limited to in-game conduct, but message boards, ICQ, Ventrilo, and all out of game communication.
3) LET GUILD-MASTERS HANDLE GUILD ISSUES: If you have a problem with a guild mate or a member of another guild, please notify your Guild-Master and let them handle instead of taking it upon yourself. This has always proven to be the best way to effectively and efficiently resolve problems without perpetuating bad blood.
4) DON'T ROLE-PLAY IN CHAT: It's not our practice to role-play our characters in guild chat, party chat, or the Atlantic RP chat. We're not criticizing those who do, but we've decided to utilize these channels for out of character communication only.
