Name: Dar Skri'lem
Race: Royal Winged Gargoyle
Age: Unknown, but when asked what his profession is he always states he began his writing career at the young age of five hundred and seventy seven.
Alignment: True Neutral
Appearance: Like most gargoyles, Dar has an intimidating appearance, with sharp teeth and curved claws, and eyes like black pearls. His skin is a silvery azure hue, that shimmers in certain light. His wings, when unfolded, each span the length of a human man. Perhaps most noticeably is his singular horn, which gives his head a disproportionate shape. The other horn was either removed, or malformed. He wears unassuming robes like most Gargish scholars, and carries a large shoulder bag that is filled to the brim with writing quills, books, scrolls and other miscellaneous ledgers. His claws typically are stained in the ink from his writings and note taking.
Personality: Despite his monstrous appearance Dar is always cheerful and curious, even the most mundane discovery can throw him into an ecstatic child-like reaction. Which is unusual for a Ter Mur Gargoyle, as most are quite grim due to their unstable homeland. One may even say that Dar is an overly positive optimist about downright everything. Mondain himself could return and hurl an enormous meteor at Sosaria itself, dooming all of her inhabitants, yet the Gargoyle would find something marvelous in the situation to comment on.
Background: Dar Skri'lem served Queen Zhah of the Royal City from a very youthful age, being one of the numerous Winged Ones that were lucky enough to be in Royal servitude. His scholarly nature lead him into a career as a Royal Historian, scribing various administrative documents for the city of Ter Mur for many years before working as one of the head curators of the Museum of Wonders, after a long apprenticeship underneath the famous Gargoyle scholar Axem. Recently, Dar has been working on a commission for the Royal Library of Ter Mur to write a Modern History of Britannia, a complex and long documentation of the non-Gargish lands. This work, which he considers his Magnum Opus, has taken him on wide and long travels across the lands of Humans and Elves and back again.
Yet his most interesting subject matter has been a group of knights, rangers, governors, mages and elves that reside in the Britannian mainlands. Whom he continues to write about to this day...
