Born in the village of Yew Annah Lee was kept hidden from all because of the circumstances of her birth. By the age of 7 she was secretly moved out of Yew to the town of Cove where she stayed with a warrior by the name of Jacen Teowsen. Annah wanted to be a swordsman like her mother, but understand the magic that she had seen her father practiced. Jacen was sure to keep her updated on her parents, and he messaged them both about her milestones. Jacen would not allow her to begin training at such a young age because he wanted her to be able to enjoy her childhood playing with other children and learning something other than killing.
When she turned the age of 14 she had begun training; however she would train them at same time so she was gaining experience in each slowly. Jacen had aged quite a bit so by the time she had been allowed to train he was not able to move with the speed that he had when she was younger. The year or her 15th birthday Jacen had died peacefully in his sleep one night and she cried by his bed clutching his hand tightly in hers. She was not sure what she should do at that point, she had never ventured much outside of Cove past the orc camp to the southwest. She went through Jacens pack and took out his runebook, as she looked at dried leather cover a tear rolled down her cheek dripping onto it, and slid down it then finally onto her kilt where it absorbed into nothingness. She looked through the pages, turning them slowly imagining the travels Jacen had as he recalled to the many destinations within this old book. She began wandering around Cove and went up to the northernmost area by the watch tower looking out to the ocean, opened up the book, held her hand on top of the page marked Trinsic speaking the magical words of the gargoyles Kal Ort Por.
When she arrived in Trinsic she found herself standing on the piers, the cool breeze flowing through her shoulder length blonde hair. She turned and walked the sandstone roads of this big city which left her in awe from the many years in the tiny town of Cove. She had been afraid to go out of town at that time to search for her mother because of the importance that was told to her that she stay hidden, so in the city she sat, there were people regularly walking the streets that wore the dark purple aprons that her mother always wore, and she smiled when she saw them. Sitting on the porch of the healers in the center of Trinsic she noticed a sad aura over the city, a man with dark red hair walked by a crowd of people with him. He was crying, and barely able to walk, once dropping to his knees slamming his fist on the street.
‘’I can’t believe she’s gone, WHY wasn’t it ME!?!’’, he yelled with his head hung between his arms.
Those with him had tried to console her telling him that at least she went in peace, then mentioned Annahs mother’s name. Annah ran over to them.
‘’What happened to her, is she ok?’’ she said, her hands clinched terrified as to what they were about to say.
All of those around the man still on his knees crying said that she had died last night. Hearing those words made her weak, her mother had just died, she just lost Jacen recently and now her mother has too. She began to run, stumbling on her first step, then quickly out the front gates of Trinsic. She choked on her tears then in the forest just outside the gates she dropped to her knees and onto her stomach, crying into the grass.
For another year after her mother’s death she had wandered around Sosaria looking for her father to no avail. She had heard his name mentioned a few times, but there were no clues as to where he was at this time. Finally there was an odd girl that had some traits of a cat that said he was in another shard of the huge realm surrounding this shard named Catskills, so she asked to follow her back to the other shard, she had never heard of such a place just of the story behind the shards. On the other side, the new shard called Atlantic; she looked around confused because everything was exactly the same. Was the cat playing a cruel joke on her? The cat girl transformed into a full cat form and ran off; distracted by a rat she vanished deep into the woods. Annah tried to chase her but the cat was too quick so she wandered the woods trying to find the nearest town. Once she had found a town she began asking about the where-about of her father again and after some time finally found him in his house, standing on the porch of his house outside of the vendor clustered city of Luna. Her long journey was finally over.
