Weekly Report: Incidents in Yew
Itannar Darkanor, Warden-Captain
May 61, 421
• Arrested and fined a drunken monk at Empath Abbey. It was Brother Goode again. The other monks have been complaining about his complete lack of self-control and restraint. I forced him to bathe. Lice were literally falling off of his body. He paid the fine and was released.
• Drove three stray orcs from the southern farm. Threats worked this time; did not have to wound or kill any. Third time this has happened. Owner/farmer is a little worried.
• Warden Sarri reported strangers at the central well that evening. It was dark and she could not identify them. They seemed to vanish as she approached them.
• Killed forty-six mongbats. They must breed like rabbits.
• Someone left the graveyard gate open and I had to put down four roaming skeletons who got out.

• Abbot Imladris identified two fake monks and I arrested them for questioning. All they do is blather about heretics at the Abbey, meaning, the real, devoted monks! Now have fifteen incarcerated at the Yew prison.
• I assigned Warden Sarri to patrol the well area twice a day; once in the morning and once at evening and randomly to throw off any who think they had learned the timing.
• I assigned Warden Jared to keep watch/guard at Yew Town Hall over Kerridan, whose health seems to be deteriorating again. Jared has not been feeling well himself of late.
• Brigands from their southern fort raided the farms again, looting but not killing anyone. We chased them away and they dropped some of their stolen goods. I sent word to the leader we would retaliate in force if they tried it again.

The central well was the focus of an attack last evening. Witness reports and that of Warden Sarri indicate at least three Armageddon Cultists were dumping substances into the well. Items confiscated are being examined. James reported bottles of wine were fitted with an explosive contact fuse. A crate was left inscribed in drow, but it was only describing the wine as "Jexmir's Deep Wine," as it was later translated by Dharzhal for me. Materials left at the site also show malicious intent to corrupt the water. I had it boarded up and a guard posted today. Apparently Brother Goode was spotted among them. He fled the scene on foot and went to the Healers as they reported to me on my patrol. He is wanted for questioning and I will post a reward for his capture. Governor Idril has been informed and will be kept informed of developments in this.
