The pooka claiming to be named "James" decides to look around Trinsic for creepy dolls! He'd heard about the dolls and was rather excited to find the things and making them become animate. He knows this sort of thing can work through magic, and has seen other Fae do it on several occasions, though he hadn't learned how to make such enchantments for himself. But regardless he decided that coming alive is what the dolls he hasn't even seen yet are for, and figured he should get started on making them do that, after all he is fairly certain that Sergio wants him to make them start moving about to cause destruction and some funny property damage!
Thus the pooka spent the night skulking around the city while most of the population is asleep and eventually finds a doll, the little thing looks a bit creepy, tucked away and half hidden just off the street, he picks it up.
It is largely disappointing, he was expecting a normal doll, hoping a regular doll with signs of Fae enchantment stuck on the outside, instead finding a thing made of wood and cloth, with what looks to him like little scying crystals for eyes, which seems suspiciously golem-like, but on closer examination he finds nothing that offends his Luddite predisposition to the tinkering arts.
Looking at the doll he decides it is just asleep, and hums at the doll, then starts to sing a nice little song at it to wake it up, pouring some of his glamour (the sort of dream energy that Fae use for their magic instead of mana) into it as he does so. Not trying to control the doll, but trying to get it to "wake up" and do what it wants.
The doll then starts to move, though it's an uncanny sort of movement-not the movement like a living thing but like a puppet.
At first the pooka assumed it was due to the doll still being sleepy, but it does not shake off what he assumed to be a stupor and instead tried to attack him, he leans closer for a better look, soon seeing it is running on mana rather than proper glamour, the doll then tries to reach out to gouge out his eyes, when this fails it tries to pry open the pooka's hand to better attack him.
Not sure why the doll was so upset at being woken up, he pulls his hand back (and away from his face) to watch as it tries to attack, doing his best to ignore the pain, but eventually, as his hand is starting to leak some sawdust, after seeing the way it moves and how the mana flows through it, he is forced to admit that the thing is just a puppet and not alive at all. Sighing with disappointment, he pokes the puppet with his other hand casting another spell, and the little device catches fire, spreading quickly on it's wooden body. He keeps holding onto it, the fires destroying the toy but not himself, and once it stops moving he drops the burning magical tool to the ground, no longer as interested in it, only after there is little left but ash did he realize there was probably someone controlling the puppet.
