One cold dank cell for another, This must be my life now. The smell of burning flesh and rot lingers in this place. My body battered and worn, the beast that is his minion has no issue tormenting me. I don't know how long I've been here anymore. I look at my bound hands and try to summon anything that could get me out of this, nothing but a spark to my fingertips. I feel nothing now. HE sapped everything out of me. Years of being schooled in the arcane arts, gone in a matter of moments.
I just lay there, curled on my side, tears falling silently to the cold crusty floor. I could hear the low snarl of the nightmare that plagued me since I got here. A Wolf that was no Wolf. Not like the gentle old wolf that found me before. This wolf was huge, its fur not fur, but black snakes, its yellow eyes would stare at me from the darkness. I could hear it salivating as I lay there, trying to not move. If I moved, it would come. If I moved it would swat me around with its large, mangled paws as if I were its favorite toy. That's all I was now, a toy to a monster.
Sleep eluded me. I could not fall asleep here. My mind would be plagued with nightmares of my family tortured and dead. My friends laying in pools of their own blood after battling for my freedom. I could feel my mind slowly slipping to madness. This must be how Suka feels. Madness seems to run in the family. I was not immune to it. I refuse to allow the madness to overtake me. I lay there and hope flittered into my mind. I knew there was at least one person out there that was waiting for me. I refuse to let him down.
My breath stutters as I feel the beasts breath against my neck, the foul odor and heat causes me to cringe. That is all it took for the beast to swat its large paw at me, I curl into the tightest ball I could.
“That is enough, it is time to deliver upon my promise. She no longer has use to me.”
“Master... as you wish..” The Beast spoke. Its voice grated my ears. It will be burned in my mind. HE grabbed the rope that secured me to the wall, and began dragging me out of the dank cell. I stumbled to my feet, refusing to be dragged like a worm on a hook behind HIM. The beast snarled and snapped at my heels as I was pulled into the streets. The air was not fresh at all. It smelled of toxic waste and it choked me. I was able to look around, as my eyes adjusted to the dim lamp light, peering through the smog, I could make out the Yew Abby from a distance.
Stumbling behind HIM, I tried to make sense of what I was seeing. Sheep lay dead in the pins. Crops withered and dry. Something was terribly wrong, but there was nothing I could do about it. I was powerless, dragged down the road like a dog on a chain. If HE wanted to treat me like a Bitch, so be it, I would be one the entire journey to where HE was taking me next. I jerk back on the rope, making HIM and HIS stupid horse unsteady now and again, I could hear HIM sigh, “I'm bringing you back, why are you fighting.”
Bringing me back? Why would HE do that? I wanted to ask, but HIS grating voice irritated me, “Because you're a jerk.” Was the words I chose. HIS cackle was even more annoying. I managed to calm my nerve just enough to ask, “Why are you even doing this?” HIS one word made my skin crawl, “Revenge”
We traveled quietly , with a jerk of the rope now and again from me, until an arrow was shot dead in HIS path. My blood ran cold, I only knew one person that would do something so silly. Tserim......
