Elrika was a fare skinned, less than average height, slender woman. Her dark hair, matching her black obsidian eyes, hung over her shoulder in a braided ponytail. Elrika, who was known throughout Rovers as a master of blending into shadows was often unpredictable. Her lithe form could move with such ease and grace among the shadows that sometimes it felt like she wasn't even there.
William Castle and the Rovers had been lucky enough to have Elrika among their ranks. Her skills as an assassin were unmatched, and her ability to move through crowds unnoticed had helped them time and time again.
One day, William Castle and Elrika were approached by a group of priests from a small township on the outskirts of Yew. The priests explained that a group of bandits had stolen a priceless relic from their chapel, and they needed the Rovers' help to retrieve it.
William Castle, always up for a good challenge, agreed to help, and suggested that Elrika take the lead. She was perfect for this kind of mission, and he had complete faith in her abilities.
Upon finding the bandits’ camp William took post near the edge of the forest as Elrika set out into the night, moving silently and swiftly through the shadows. She made her way to the bandits' camp. The bandits were sleeping soundly, completely unaware of the danger that lurked in the shadows. Elrika took out her double-edged knife and began one-by-one guiding the blade along the throat severing the trachea and carotid arteries.
She finally located the relic but was caught in the act. She knew she had to run and find William, who was waiting for her at the edge of the nearby forest. As she fled, she heard the angry shouts of bandits chasing after her.
Suddenly, a fireball rocketed past her, thrown expertly by William Castle, who had joined the fray. Elrika turned and faced one of her pursuers, leaping at him with her blade drawn.
The bandit was caught off guard by her sudden shift of movement and never stood a chance. Elrika expertly landed on her feet, twisting, and turning through the shadows to gain an advantage, and then, with a quick jab of her blade, she plunged it into his neck, silencing him forever.
William Castle and Elrika found themselves surrounded by seven bandits, their weapons drawn, and their eyes filled with malice. The air hummed with the anticipation of battle, and William and Elrika knew that they were in for the fight of their lives.
William raised his hands, summoning lightning bolts that crackled and sizzled in the air. He launched them at the nearest bandit, and they struck him with deadly accuracy, sending him flying backwards and knocking him unconscious.
Elrika, meanwhile, had already darted forward, leaping into the fray with the grace of a panther. She unsheathed her blade with a hiss and began cutting through the bandits one by one, her quick and precise movements leaving them all stunned and disoriented.
But the battle was far from over. The remaining bandits regrouped and charged towards the duo; their weapons raised high. William Castle conjured a wall of green flame that rose between them and the bandits, temporarily halting their advance.
With the bandits slowed, Elrika sprang into action, using her agile movements to evade their weapons and leave them open for her attacks. She executed a barrage of deadly and precise strikes with the blade, causing deep cuts and terrible wounds that slowed and maimed her enemies.
William Castle, meanwhile, continued his magical onslaught, calling down bolts of powerful lightning that left the bandits stunned and shaken. The smell of burning flesh filled the air as William's flames engulfed the bandits, incinerating them into ashes.
Elrika- being the skilled assassin- analyzed every movement of her opponents and planned her next attacks. She dodged the attacks of the bandits effortlessly, and, with each swing of her blade, severed limbs from their bodies, causing blood to spray everywhere.
Despite the overwhelming odds and gory injuries, William Castle and Elrika prevailed against their enemies. When the battle finally ended, there were no surviving bandits left. The bloodied remains of the fallen bandits lay scattered across the ground, with limbs and organs strewn everywhere.
William and Elrika emerged victorious, their victory cemented by the bloody mess that they had created. They basked in their success for a moment, panting for breath and wiping the blood from their weapons. They looked at each other for a final moment knowing that they had just survived a brutal encounter before slipping into the darkness of the forest.
