Summary: Nearly fifteen years ago, the original Emerald Fist disbanded after most of the group leapt into Semidar’s portal to Pagan, ending the Titans’ first invasion attempt by closing it from the other side. The Emerald Empress seeks to commemorate the fifteenth anniversary of this event by unveiling the Emerald Town Memorial Gardens, while in the shadows, the Technocrats plot to take advantage and progress their own schemes.

*Crier Announcement: An Escape from Royal Prison*
Two nights ago, two prisoners mysteriously disappeared from their cells within the royal prison in Yew. Reportedly, there were no witnesses or evidence regarding their manner of escape, though magic is highly suspected to be at work.
The first prisoner was identified as Schrodinger, a notorious thief from Verity Isle. She was halfway through serving her three-year sentence for the theft of a collection of rare reagents from the Lycaeum. Her estranged husband, a healer of animals, is known to work at the Moonglow Zoo. While none of her past crimes have involved inflicting harm upon others, Schrodinger is known for her cleverness and quick hands.
The second prisoner was identified as Tyler, a convicted murderer who was sentenced to life imprisonment more than 15 years ago for the intentional killing of Phearcy, a Moonglow book-seller. Once a resident of Yew, Skara Brae, and the former Kingdom of Winterfell, Tyler was previously a soldier, adventurer, mercenary, and horse-handler. He is considered to be highly dangerous due to his prior exploits.
There is no known connection between either escaped prisoner, or their crimes. Should anyone possess information concerning their whereabouts, they are urged to report this immediately to the Royal Britannian Guard. A 100,000 gold reward has been posted for the capture Schrodinger, and a 250,000 gold reward for the capture of Tyler.
12/8/2018:
Gauf, a former comrade of Deraj turned bounty hunter, visited the Emerald Fist, having learned that the fugitive Tyler was once a Fist member. After discussing the matter, the group agreed to work with him to locate the two escapees. Together, they journeyed to the Moonglow Zoo, where they spoke with Timothy, a veterinarian and estranged husband of Schrodinger. With some persuading, Timothy admitted that his wife had visited him after escaping prison and told him how she was freed for a big job that would make them very wealthy. Though Timothy wanted nothing more to do with the thief, he informed the Fist and allies that she promised to wait for him on Dagger Isle for a week in case he changed his mind.
On Dagger Isle, they found Schrodinger hiding in a cave, cursed by strange magics that caused her to appear simultaneously in two opposite states of existence: both alive and dead. When questioned, the distraught thief revealed how she and Tyler escaped with the help of a dark-robed woman with numerical tattoos. This fit the description of Sister Niva, an agent of the villainous Technocrats encountered by the Fist on prior occasions. According to the thief, their benefactor asked Tyler about his past before sending him to the Lost Lands to perform an undisclosed task. Schrodinger then accompanied the dark-robed woman to the Church of the Black Sun in Felucca of Moonglow, where they unearthed a buried chest. While picking the locks, the thief accidentally set off the magical trap that caused her current predicament. Before abandoning Schrodinger to her fate, the woman removed the following items from the chest: a pair of earrings, a ruby bracelet, a turquoise ring, a pendant, and some books. Based on her tale, the Fist realized that the cache must have belonged to Relthor of the Broken Ankh, and that the confiscated contents were the artifacts he had created to duplicate the power of the Titan Seals.
Following this, Ezekial took custody of Schrodinger in an attempt to cure her. If he was successful, it was agreed she would be given to Gauf, who would turn her into the authorities.
12/09/2018:
Following their discovery that the Technocrats had recovered Relthor's Titan-powered artifacts, the Fist decided that Chanticleer would no longer wear his blue platemail armor, which had been crafted with the fragments of the original Titan Seals.
12/13/2018:
The Fist commenced their search for Tyler. First, they visited the site of Semidar's old tower, where the foul librarian opened his portal to Pagan fifteen years prior. However, they find nothing there.
Next, they journeyed to the dungeon Khaldun. Upon arrival, they were greeted by the Pagan sorcerer Morgaelin, who had eluded some of the group for months. Agreeing to speak, he transported them to the Shrine of Singularity in Ter Mur. Among the various matters discussed, the sorcerer revealed that when Pagan cultists recently began their scheme involving Khal Ankur, he traveled to the Lost Lands to observe. A few days ago, he witnessed a Britannian accompanied by Technocrats approached Khaldun's entrance. They performed a ritual that appeared to empower four small artifacts they carried, somehow leeching energies from within the dungeon. From his description, the Britannian was likely Tyler, and the artifacts were the ones confiscated from Relthor's cache.
When the Fist returned to Emerald Town, the Emerald Empress warned them how the past few days, the Titan symbols on Chanticleer's platemail armor had been glowing periodically. As they stood there, it happened again, so it was decided that the Empress would remove the suit from Emerald Keep and secure it elsewhere.
12/15/2018:
Two nights later, the Emerald Empress held a gathering at Emerald Town's gardens that commemorated the fifteenth anniversary of the original Fist's disbanding. Attended by the group as well as friends and allies, the event was interrupted by the spirit of Semidar, the evil librarion responsible for creating the portal to Pagan that led to the old Fist's demise. Semidar revealed that with the aid of the Technocrats, he had returned to avenge his past defeats using Relthor's Titan-powered artifacts. He then challenged those present and created a portal to his chosen battlefield.
The portal led to a barren field south of Papua. At the field, there was a pentagram covered by the four artifacts from Relthor's cache, with a corrupted moongate at its center. Semidar's spirit manifested once again , and he called forth waves of creatures from the gate to slay those assembled: The Herald of Lithos with four Disgraced Necromancers; the Herald of Hydros with four Fallen Tempests; the Herald of Stratos with four Descendant Theurgists; and the Herald of Pyros with four Foul Sorcerers. Despite the odds, the Fist and their allies defeated each wave, earning Semidar's ire and a promise of their destruction. He disappeared for good, replaced by a powerful Blood Elemental and its Titans minions. But these too were killed and with their defeat, the corrupted moongate vanished.
Unfortunately, the librarian's machinations proved to be a Technocrat ruse. Sister Niva suddenly announced herself, explaining how the Technocrats had used Semidar to distract the Fist so they could strike at one of their targets. Initially fearing the Empress was endangered, they hurried back to Emerald Town, only to learn she was safe. The group then realized Niva referred to the necromancer Renthar, whom the Technocrats also hunted. They rushed to his last known location, the Ocllo Public Library, where they stumbled upon a band of Technocrats. After defeating them, they discovered Renthar's torn hat, robes, and spellbook, but the necromancer was nowhere to be found.
So despite thwarting Semidar's vengeance, it was the Technocrats, rather than the Emerald Fist, who proved to be the true victors of the evening.
