Ode to Obsidian Character Profiles

[D'Amavir]

The following is a group of very basic character profiles that will be involved with the story that I'm calling Ode to Obsidian. I will be adding additional characters as they enter the story line.

This story is open to players for involvement and/or investigation. The way I try to do these stories is that I like to arrange individual/small group scenes for those involved, as appropriate. If you want to be involved at any level, please let me know.

I will also make every effort to clear anything 'town' specific with those currently representing those towns. Generally speaking though, I try to make sure my stories don't force anything on anyone. So lemme know if you feel otherwise at any time.

Keep in mind that I am doing this solo, for the most part, so scheduling will have to be managed accordingly. Thanks

Luther D'Amavir
Appears to be in his early 50s
An easy smile rests on his face while his eyes seem to appraise everything, and everyone, around him. His clothing, while not flashy, looks exquisitely made. A small dagger in a jewel encrusted scabbard rests on his left hip.

Wears an obsidian pendant identifying him as a member of House D'Amavir.

Currently visiting the mainland from his childhood home, Obsidian Isle, the one time thief has been searching for family heirlooms created by House D'Amavir craftsmen.

Demir(Mordermirdanian)
Looks to be in his mid 60s with a tall, rawboned build.

Determination and vigor seem to fill him despite his advanced age. His movements suggest a practiced ease and his eyes show wisdom, arrogance and an odd touch of distraction.

Has a small pair of ugly looking shackles hooked to his belt and he wears a dark blade with an obsidian adorned hilt at his side. His fingers often stroke the hilt though he is seldom seen drawing the weapon itself.

Recently arrived in Yew from Delucia. Appears to be a bounty hunter of some sort, though the identity of his current employer remains a mystery.

Mother Whisper
Her face seems older than could be possible but her eyes show intelligence and vitality. Her movements are graceful and her voice is soft but powerful.

She carries herself in a regal manner while still dealing with those beneath her with at least a show of respect.

Currently leads the Assassin Guild known as The Veil. It is rumored that she can be found in Buc's Den.

Amelia Bly
Appears to be in her early 30s. Hair dyed a light brown, she seems more concerned with day to day matters than with appearances.

Arrived in Vesper, very recently, seeking information on her father, Dominick, who she says was last seen entering the Vesper Cemetery several weeks ago. She has been advised to seek an audience with the King during the next governors meeting to petition him, or any others, to aid in her search.

Leoric D’Amavir
The son of a poor barmaid, Leoric discovered that Mikael D’Amavir was his father at the age of 17. Since that time, he has taken the D’Amavir name and, as Mikael has completely ignored his offspring, renounced the pursuit of his father’s approval. Leoric was killed by the wielder of Kinslayer as he arrived at his father's Keep.

Octavio D’Amavir
He is the twin brother of Luther. Charming and seductive, Octavio shows no real desire to lead House D’Amavir. His natural charisma, however, makes him the perfect politician should he ever grow tired of his travels throughout the land as a bard and storyteller. Always very popular with the ladies, Octavio was expected to be married years ago though he has chosen to remain unattached. Several of Kurillion’s children sought to gain Octavio’s support as they see him as a vital part of the family, even with his seeming disinterest in it. Recently, Octavio has returned to Yew in the hopes of finally tracking down his father's lost blade.

Lucas Bly
The eldest son of Kurillion D'Amavir, Bly is the Commander of the D’Amavir Guard. Not interested in the seat of power for himself, nor eligible as he is bastard born, he supports only those that show ability and a willingness to aid the family itself should they take control. These days, he has been searching for information regarding his father’s disappearance and has begun to believe that one of his brothers or sisters may have been responsible for it. After a near fatal run in with Kinslayer and its wielder, while searching for his missing daughter in Cove, the great warrior lost the use of one of his arms. Since then, he has been forced to lay down his weapons of steel and take up the magical arts.

Khoyl D'Amavir
Once Commander of the House D'Amavir guard, Khoyl has since stepped down and laid aside his weapons completely. These days, he lives within the Abbey of Yew and acts as a monk in the service to the people of that small town.

Anna Nilsson
Appears to be in her early 20's. Her ears are pierced with thin obsidian rods and her nose has a small obsidian ring through each nostril. Red hair and several small facial scars complete her look.

Carries a well kept blade on her waist and a small, battered harp across her back.

Can usually be found in and around the town of Vesper. Rumor has it that she has been searching for the man known as the Whistling Harbinger.

Captain of The Obsidian Brotherhood

Little is known about the man referred to only as the Captain. Recently he has been seen in Minoc. According to those that have spoken with him he has been investigating the recent attacks in, and around, the town.

Nearby tavern-goers might hear mention of The Obsidian Brotherhood setting up a small base of operations in the small Lost Lands town of Delucia.

Appears to be in his late 30s. Stern blue eyes and a trim build combined with a commanding presence make it clear he has spent the bulk of his life in some form of military service.

He carries a wicked looking katana on his left hip. His dark armor is adorned with obsidian stones.
