Friend Judas;

I find I must impose upon you once more for information. I do not assume you know every mainlander that exists, but perhaps in your travels you have met a man who goes by the name of Dante Darkheart?

I have been seeking a teacher of the common language so that both Umeko and Alisiea can learn to read and write and he has answered my notice with an inquiry of his own. I believe it to be more important for Alisiea since she is older and with child. The fact that she cannot travel eliminates any possibility of her running off. I sense, however, that she feels safe here and is comfortable with the arrangement. I have given her chores so she will not grow lazy and Umeko is watching over her.

I hope you will be able to tell me something about Mr. Darkheart so I may better assess whether I should meet him in person to discuss the teaching of the girls.
